Hi Folks

Trina to tow a rotobaler but it has a stage fitting on the tongue and before I burn it off I'd like to fine out if all I need is a mate that will fit it.

This is what is on there. Anyone know what it is? On the AC forum the guys saI'd it's a ball and socket hitch but I didn't have tested pictures then.

Yes that is a balland socket but not in the normal sence. There is an extra piece that clamps the ball to what you have and they are probably hard to find now but the pull type AC combines 60, 66, 72 all used the same setup. And if you have everything and it is all free then it is a fast hook up.

Torch the bolts off, save the piece til you find the matching part, and put a normal yoke tongue on it. Later Roto Balers had a yoke hitch.

Looks like the pin is missing and the pin is the key to keeping it hooked up if you do find one.I'd just put on a regular style hitch as the ball is a pain to put on the tractor every time you want to use the baler.I actually picked up a couple of the ball and socket the part you bolt to the drawbar new old stock last year from an estate.
