What size tire/wheel combo is on an old spud digger? I'm in the process of refurbing this old unit. The apron chain drive has been freed up, found a source to replace the missing shaker, and it's getting to the point I need to put wheels on it to move around. Looking at online pics and videos, look like any 15" or 16" wheel will work. Just hoping to hear from someone that has one. Maybe get a few pictures of the wheels and how they mount to the digger body. It looks like they mounted in front of the big drive sprocket. In my neck of the woods I only see ground drive, horsedrawn with steel wheels. This one is half of a 2 row, and has a PTO driven gearbox that lowers and raises the digger. Thanks. Mark.

The wheels should be large enough to create sufficient angle on the conveyor chain to allow the dirt to fall off of the taters.

I've seen them with 15" tires that were angled in at the bottom, 20" tires which ran straight, and 24" tires which ran straight. What this one should have I know not.
