Help Identify grinder

I inherited a grinder of some kind that attaches to the PTO of a tractor. Does anyone know what this device is used for and what it would be worth? It's in my way and I'd like to post it on craigslist.

Don't know what it was used for, but OSHA would have a field day with those open gears and rollers.

I know. There's no way I'd hook it up. It looks like a good way to lose an arm.

It looks like it has a place to bolt a hopper bin on.

When my dad got it he had the idea of making a device to chop up tobacco stalks to make them easy to spread on the fields but he never did get around to doing anything with it.
 
Yes, missing a feed hopper. And those are the roller feeds for to feed in ear corn for grinding into cow feed, instead of a hammer mill, lots less dust. The grinding part is in that unit on the end. Think burr mill. But it is actually called a feed grinder, The cobs have to be crushed before the grinding plates can do their work.
 
I'm in Central KY. I live in Danville and the farm where this device is located is in Science Hill, which is close to Somerset, KY.

Why that is a rare supercharger used by Alexander Botts on the "Earthworm Special" , an early factory built pulling tractor used at county fairs.

Burr mill, usually run by flat belt. Looks like someone converted it to PTO. I have about 7 of them--different brands.
 
Just wondered. His son is a veterinarian and worked in the clinic up here for a year or so. Heck of a nice guy.
