Bought a NH 848 round baler. It has hydraulic tie. I havent used it yet but trying to figure out how to tie a bale with it. It is twine tie with no monitor. It also has new chains. Any help would be appreciated.

We have an 848 for a back up baler. They make a nice bale. It should have an indicator on the right side of the baler as it gets bigger the arrow moves down. Ours is hydraulic tie and you can see the twine wrapping inside. They have the dual tie arms so we put 4 wraps on the outside move arms slow to the center and put on another 4. When you retract the arms all the way, knives cut off the twine. Don't shut the pto off, just open and close the end gate and make another bale. The thing we found is slow and steady works best. Push it at all and you will plug it tight every time.

Another thing is to make sure the air bags on each
side have the same amount of air pressure in each
so you have even tension on each side. We set
ours to 35 lbs. it makes about a 750 lb. bale.
