Anyone still using a Ferguson D-PO-A20 Planter

Just got one yesterday and was wondering of any tips of using it that may be out there. I got the book with it and 5 sets of plates. All the gears for spacing too, so pretty excited to get some seed ran through it.

If you have the fertilizer unit with it I have a couple of new old stock blade runner on in the barn I'm not using if
you need them. I don't know if it's the same blade that's on the planter unit.

Thanks Kirk! I actually have those too but someone torched the A-Frame bracket they attach to off the planter. I don't know why? So I have to do some work to make them work again. I wasn't really planning on using them since the little flap pieces are gone off the metering rod of the fertilizer boxes. But I appreciate it. Did you use one before? I'm not to sure what speed I should try planting at? The book gives a pretty wide range. Looking to do corn at 7" spacing.

Well I planted some sweet corn with it. One side worked great, dropping seed about every 5-8 inches. The other side had a lot of skip. Both are set up the same. The skipping side doesn't seem to let the seed get to the knock out roller. I can hear the roller clicking but nothing comes through the hole and no seed comes out the other side of the knock out mechanism. There is a spring loaded arm before the seed goes out of sight to the roller that seems to be correct but it may be too tight for the seed to lift. So it may be kicking the seed out of the pickup instead of setting it in the pickup. I don't think there is an adjustment for the spring tension. Any ideas?
