Monitor on a JD 7000 planter

When I bought my 7000 planter it was set up for a monitor
but didnt come with it
it has the 30 something pin conector harness on it
My question is if i find a 10 or 12 pin connector monitor box can i make it work
also can i use a 8 or 12 row monitor box on a 4 row planter
