Is $200 too much to ask for a 28" buzz saw? It has a a spare blade and comes with a 10' belt. I want it to sell quickly.
Thanks,
David

I just bought a buzz saw a couple weekends ago at a antique shop here in Virginia (Richmond) for $115. The blade was sharp and everything worked. It was operated by a Flat belt (not included). I plan on running it off my 1950 Farmall H tractor. I know a chain saw is faster and easier to use, but it is the idea of using old stuff with old tractors, ha, ha, ha...
Have a safe cutting season.....

Thank you all for straight talk on this. I'm in VA. It's in good usable condition-blades are even sharp. It has fair red paint but I see no evidence of an IH brand. Looks like it mounted to some brand of tractor - but it would be easy to use free-standing. I guess the chain saw has replaced these things.

Looks like I better go for way less than $200. Look for it soon in the picture ads. Thanks for your help,
David

It will be hard to sell without knowing what tractor it works with! On the other hand, if there is demand in your location, and it fits a popular tractor in your area, and it has several blades (cross cut & with the grain, etc.) and a near new belt (if it's powered with a flat belt???) then you could get near $200, $150 any how.

More likey, $50 - 100.

So, is it powered by a flat belt, free standing with a pto power, bolt-on the front of a tractor, hook on the 3-point? Ya gotta describe it! :)

I think both these guys are on track. It really depends on your location. If you are near n. central Pa we should talk.

What condition is it in? What does it fit? These all are factors in the price. Here in Wisconsin I have seen them go for $25 all the way to $150 for one that was in great shape.

I don't want to burst your bubble, but at sales I se them sell in excellant shape quite often for anywhere between $10 and $25 here in Indiana.
