Ford 105 tiller repair with picture

I was given this 48" tiller. Cost me a some gas to haul my loader tractor about 30 miles to pull it out of an old fence row. I'm enough of a shade tree welder to repair this.

There is no slip clutch just a bolt in the PTO shaft to gear box connection. I suspect that the PO used too hard a bolt and this is where it failed.

Questions:

Is my assumption correct or is this, pictured, the "shear bolt" protection?

The PTO shaft to gear box is 1 1/4". Do they make a 1 1/4" round shaft slip clutch? I don't see one listed at Tractor or agri supply.

Are parts readily available?

dean,
I would want to install a slip clutch of some kind on the unit.

the one I used lodged a rock or root in the tines and locked up the tines, so the slip clutch did it job. nothing broken, just cleared the root and off I when.

I do not know if a soft sheer bolt would withstand the pressure of a tiller, they can be quite a load on a small tractor if you are digging deep.
