Disc Hiller Vertical Angle

The disc hiller angle relative to forward motion I can figure out, but I can't find any information for the vertical angle in relationship to the shank. Some hiller and shank assemblies are made with an angle others without. It would seem they would be more efficient with some angle, but I don't know what that angle would be. I'm thinking an angle to place the curvature of the blade nearly vertical to the ground.
Single blade.
Anyone have general information on the blade vertical angle?
Thanks

my old disc hiller: attached picture
does a fine job hilling or baring out the row.

also my other disc hiller does a great job, the more forward angle you give it, makes some difference in the amount of earth moved. However, you can not turn the blades around and bar out a row with it.

I normally run my one row cultivator through the gardens before I hill up the rows as it loosens up the soil, so more earth can be moved.

they work great, covers up a lot of small grass in the rows
