Bought this disk at a farm auction cant seem to find a model number or serial number. One of the gang bearings is bad and im trying to get it ready to work. Any and all info is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Reminds me of an AC, and the gang bearing holder reminds me of the bearings that are made of unobtainium....

I should have been more specific, it is an Allis Chalmers. I just dont know what the model is or where to find it.

Get the bearing off and take it to a bearing sales store in your area and they will match it up with a new one.

It looks similar to the Series 200 in my AC book. Looks like a Model 213, except the one in the book has the lift tube mounted on top the frame instead of under like the one in your pic. Maybe they could be assembled with the lift tube either way? The gang mounting looks the same as the Model 213. Maybe the 13 is the width?

I've a 6' Kingkutter disc that I replaced bearings on and the local "Bearing Supply Store" was useless. A I was able to look-up the bearing on the Agri-Supply site and ordered from them. And when you talk to them they know what they're talking about. Just go by the size and shape of the axle. bjr

I have an allis chalmers #200 disk just like that. when i did the bearings a few years ago they were just 1 1/4 bearings. I dont know whare you are but here we have Rural king supply an i got all my bearings their cheaper thN the dealer

I thinks its 12' it has a total of 40 disks. By looking at some pics i would say maybe a model 2200. Looks like ill need to pull one off and call someone with it in hand. Thanks guys!

It is a AC, the hitch was taken off for transport. Its not a snap coupler hitch just drop a pin in it. Ill try to get it put back on tonight and another pic taken.

Not if it's a bearing for an A-C disc that looks like three tuna cans stacked together. You can "disassemble" it and get to a bearing inside that can be sourced locally, but you need to find a way to recrimp the outer shell back around it, create a new shell, or do other modifications. If you want a ready-to-use bearing assembly, it's off to the AGCO dealer or a salvage yard. A bearing from AGCO will cause your wallet to part with about $350 or so.

I can't tell what style bearings are on the disc in the picture.

I have one of them disk but unless they were side by side could not help with the model number. If you look thru the "Agco-Allis " parts list books with Schmitt & sons you could narrow it down exactly by how the parts cross over to the lists. Someone on the forum not to long ago had one and was going to scrap it out because the bearings were not available or were real costly (like $100.00 each).

Myself being of Machine shop background could find a way to repair it without breaking the bank even if it ended up with some other bearing carrier. My old IH single disk has wooden bearings so it is not rocket science.

i think it is a model 2200 or 2300. i used to have a couple, can't remember the difference except maybe successive series. agree that the bearings are outlandishly expensive. can't help you with an alternate source for them.

(quoted from post at 04:57:22 04/08/15) AG in IN, here's a couple pics not sure if this helps or not.

I couldn't tell you until you get it away from the hanger. I don't recall what the hanger looked like. It may or may not be the style I mentioned.
