Gehl haybine

Was looking at a haybine on an online auction.
It is a Gehl 2170.

I don't make silage just dry hay and would like the windrow to be as wide as possible. Anyone know if it can be set to lay it down close to full width of the cut?

Yes, there is a flapper in back that can be raised. Mine could lay down hay from wheel to wheel with the flapper all the way up. The adjustment is on the side with the grearbox, near where the hydraulic lift cylinder attaches.

I had a 2175 which is similar. I scrapped mine when I broke a roller. Good haybine unless I got into really heavy hay, then it tended to plug as most haybines do.

Parts are expensive as are most...

Don't pay too much, Gehl got out of the ag business so you should be able to dicker a bit on price.
