What brand of rake?

A customer of ours is selling her hay equipment and is wondering what brand of rake this is? I was guessing a New Idea or a IH?

I cannot see the ends of the real close enough to be able to tell if it is a McCormick 4 bar enclosed gear rake or a Massey Harris. They are so close that it is very hard to tell and parts interchange. I had a McCormic with bad reel and got a what I thought was a McCormicl real, slightly later model and put it in. years later I found out it was a massey real. From your name I think you are quite a ways from me but I am looking to buy any and all rakes in any condition in that type but I think Iowa is too far from Ohio. Deffinatly not a New Idea. Wish I could find a couple of dozen of thse style New Idea rakes.

You know I never thought of Massey Harris. I didn't recall seeing the tie rod connecting the tail wheels before. Thanks guys.

Yeah it is in Iowa and will be on a sale in Waukon on April 21st if anyone is interested.

Here is a picture of one we have at Farmamerica. It is a Minnesota; made in the Minnesota State Prison. It looks similar to yours.
I had a second pic, but couldn't get that one to upload.

After looking at that picture I am going to agree that it is a Minnesota. I have not seen it in person, the pictures were emailed to me.

I have an old hay rake. I think it is a New Idea, it is on rubber. Could be for sale. It is in Ohio.
