Some Real Old Iron

Brought this old horse drawn cultivator home the other day, dont know much about it yet, seems complete and the moving parts still move, handles are in bad shape. Thinkin I'll put it out by the driveway entrance as an ornament unrestored.

We used to cultivate potatoes with one of those even after the horses were gone. Pulled it behind the tractor.

You have to be smarter then you Amish neighbors. I bought a ground driven spreader on time and they started to pester me about selling it to them. After I said no to two of them when the third came around I told him it was for sale for 6000.00. He told me I was nuts but no one has asked me since if it is for sale.

I'll tell them I want 1000 chickens for it. Lol

Ive been looking for something like this for quite awhile but its hard to find anything complete, with new handles it would be a working unit. I might take it to this years Heritage Days show before I plant it in the fromt yard, maybe set it on a mini flat deck and tow it in the parade behind my '57 Bolens.

I talked with an owner of one similar to that. They had tried it out in their garden once, but their only complaint was that it was just too tough to push!

City people.
