John deere 71 planter

I have a 4 row set of John Deere 71 planters. It has the fiberglass hoppers but I don't have the black plastic lids. Does anybodfy know the part number and are they available anywhere besides mother Deere

Yetter took over production of them, bought the line from JD.

Shoup has a lot of different parts for planters, not sure on those exact lids.

JD has online parts lookup, you can find the number from their parts site.

During the latter years of the JD71, Deere contracted with Yetter to build the #71 units. I don't recall off the top of my head exactly when Yetter started building them, but it was somewhere in the late '70's. When Deere dropped the #71's from their product line, Yetter bought sales rights and continued to build them. The Yetter planters are the AXACT same thing, right down to the hopper lids. Until 2 years ago, I still used a 6-row #71 planter. I replaced a couple hoppers (original Deere's) with Yetter part #'s. The lids from old Deere hoppers fit, so I'd assume the reverse is the same. You can go on line and look up Yetter manuals and parts list's. Then find a dealer who will order Yetter parts and away you go!
