My cousin bought this plow at an auction and had it delivered to my farm. Guess he's going to resell it. He sent me a text, asking if I could find any ID on it. I can't find any, beyond the 'Miller' stickers on both sides. Anyone know where to look? It looks like a Kverneland, to me. He needs to replace three shares.

Yes it is an older Kneverland Vari-Width plow. Those shears will set him back a few coins. By the looks of a coupe of the coverboards, it has seen considerable acers. It's going to take a big horse with all hoof drive to pull that one

It came from a potato farm west of here...on sandy ground.
My big tractor is 170 h.p. with fwa, but it isn't weighted as much as it could/should be, so I may have traction issues.

It is a Kverneland if it came from Miller it may or may not have had tag but they stamped numbers on the main tube near the front where ever they felt like doing it that day.
If you can't pull it just loosen the spring pull out the pin and raise a bottom put the pin in the hole under the beam and start plowing. I saw a video of a 10 bottom plowing with 3 back bottoms raised when Renks big Belarus croaked and they had to use a 4W305 A.C.

How different soils are! Here I use 145 hp on a 4-20 plow, and I have picked the front wheels up with that - 2wd but a full rock box up front.

170hp with front wheel assist is a 5 bottom, some years a 6 bottom tractor.

Those pointed shares would be busted up on rocks right quick.

Nice pic of a good old plow. Everything around here is a IHC, JD, or Oliver/White plow.

A small dairy dealer here has a 12 bottom new Kuhn plow sitting on the lot, very out of place for the area, never have heard the story on that.......

Different, indeed! I used to pull 5x16's with my 7000. Still could, but it's so much easier and nicer with the TW. A retired neighbor used to pull a 4x18 with his 7700.
