Hydraulic Vent Question

I have a Hog cart with two single acting Hydraulic cylinders on the back end. On one of the cylinders, when the cylinder approaches the length of the stroke, it will spew fluid from a vent nut. I inspected the nut with screen and weep hole, what i am calling the vent, and cannot find any problem there. This is an issue every time i use the wagon, because i need to lift it high enough to set it on the blocks, and going even in inch over that height will cause a significant gush of fluid.

I agree with Eric and sooner or later you it will get to the point he cylinder by passes so badly you will not gt any lift form either one

I had an older loader with pitted cylinder bores on it. It would
eat about two sets of seals a year. I finally took out the vent
caps and screwed in a hose on each side (flexible grease gun
hoses happened to be the right size) and them routed the lines
back to the reservoir. I could run the loader without a mess
until I fixed the seals. I had tapped the cap on the reservoir so
those return lines were above the fluid level. Cylinders still
were vented but could dump fluid if they were leaking
internally.

Had a similar issue with a brand new dump trailer. I just ran a hose from the vent point back to the reservoir. It's 15 years old and still works fine.
