fast hitch moldboard plow

Im restoring a fast hitch 2 bottom plow for my superc. The plows Ive got have a shift handle to shift the beams relative to the hitch, all the ones Ive seen have no handle and the beams are fixed.I believe that the plows are C-20 plows. Are the model numbers different?

Also,I found while cleaning them remnants ofthe original paint,on the beams and under the bracketry, and it appears that these were entirely blue. Most of these Ive seen done are a mix of red with
blue bottoms.Anyone shed any light on this.

Thanks.

have you tried posting this on the farmall board there is some very knowledgeable people there that may help you

I've got a collection of fasthitch magazine adds from the old days, have 3 C20 pictures all different color schemes, painted mine this way which my older brother said was the way our new one came.

The plow you describe with the handles is a C2C-22 (commonly called a C-22) and was manufactured in the Hamilton, Ontario plant. One the more common C-20 the big spring sat above the beams while on the C-22 that similar spring is between the beams. My references show that it was built 1954 and since. Similar models were C1-22 with 2 bottoms and single point fast hitch for the 140 and other tractors; CU-22 (2 bottom) and CU-32 (3 bottom) for International 300 Utility Tractors; and C34-22 (2 furrow) and C34-32 (3 furrow) for the Farmall 300 and 400 Tractors. It is interesting to note that the parts book for these plows uses the term '2 furrow', not '2 bottom' and they spell 'mouldboard' the French way. Attached is a picture of a C-22 plow. Hopefully some day it will have coulters and possibly jointers.

Looks like I found a couple of knowledgeable people on this forum, thanks to those who responded.I have nothing on this plow, but I suspected that it might have been made at Hamilton works. My original planwas to go red with blue bottoms, think I will stick with that. They seem to look best that way.
