Shank plow parts

I have a shank plow and am looking for a source for parts. Specifically the little bar/bolt that the spring fits on - has a little indentation that holds the spring. If needed, I'll post a pic.

Thanks!

Picture.

Folks in different regions have different terms for tillage implements.... I'm in the north centeral part of the USA, and I'm eternally puzzled by what folks in Texas call their implements - everything is a plow or harrow, things I would call a disk or a field cultivator and so on...

I will guess you have something like a light chisel plow or heave field cultivator, but a picture will help us out! Brand name and model, if such can be found also.

Thanks Paul,
Mine is probably called a chisel plow here in Georgia too. Here are a couple of pics. I'm in need of the bolt (circled) that spring attaches to. (couldn't find a brand)

Thanks,
Crutch

Shoot! you can MAKE one of those....Easiest way is to thread the correct size bolt a sufficient length and grind a notch on eact end.Or simply buy a chunk of 'all thread',and go from there.

Looks like a Fred Cain field cultivator? Tho many made those no idea if parts interchange.

Agri-supply is a good source of such things, I didnt have time to look through all the listings, as well as the link I pasted might sell parts.

It"s a fine thread bolt and likely a high grade- common bolt is too weak to stand the pull and a redi-bolt will bend even sooner.
