The belt that drives the flat thrower belts is a special double sided belt. does anyone know how to tell if the belt is installed correctly? In other words, can you get the wrong side of the belt riding in the drive pulleys? Both sides of the belt "look" the same, but I suppose there is a chance they may not be.

Both faces of the belt are the same, so there is no way to be "wrong" in that respect. The reason for the double face is some of the pulley's have tension on one side of the belt, the other pulley's put tension on the opposite side. The problem is stringing belts around the pulley's in the correct direction, that can exasperating if you don't pay attention to the way the old belt was strung or have a diagram.
