Does anybody know what years the Kuhn FC302 disc mower/conditioners were made?
I found one,not too far from home, just wondered how old it might be.

Without the old books around, I find it's harder to tell just when machinery was made. But, iffen you look at Tractorhouse and pull that machine up, they often have the years that stuff was built and you can see the price span at the dealers. Make sure you look CLOSELY at the nose guards and wear under the bar and on top.

But, didn't you just buy one last year???

The rolls were bad in that one. I had to take them right out. It cuts, but drying is another story. Plus the swath is too wide to rake without running over it way too many times.
I've been thinking about a new Kuhn, but I ran across that used one.

Tractorhouse has 5 of them listed with pictures and prices. Made about ten years ago....

Most were '05's. I had to get another one last year. My 1460 needed about $4K in new parts, and hay season caught up to me fast, so I went hunting for a new(er) one. I looked at a 1 year old Kuhn, but it was a small plain Jane model, and I ended up buying a new 930. After the trades and some haggleing, the new one didn't sting me too bad, though for an extra year or two, but it also has a three year warranty instead of 'as is'. And, after using it for one season, I glad I did get it. It has the 3 pt hitch and that thing is a whole lot faster and easier to cut with, so look for one with it- it's worth the extra bucks. But, Deere or Kuhn- you won't go wrong....

Ya,there are two Kuhn dealers here, each with a new one on the lot. One has a 283 and the other one has an FC2860 TLD. I think the FC stands for flail conditioner on that one. The dealer that I deal with the most has that. I haven't tried to deal on it yet.

My 630 has tine fingers for conditioning, but the Kuhn that I looked at had baseball bats. Kinda looked like it bludgeoned the crop for drying....
