Farmall BN snow plow - narrow front

help me before I drive myself insane.

I am searching for a front mounted snow plow for a farmall bn with narrow front.

can any one tell me where to look, what I need, part numbers, anything at all?

i really don't want to try and build one.

feel free to drop me an email. [email protected]

The main problem with a B is no hydraulics unless you rig something up. I did build one for a B once. Built it a little like a loader where I came forward off the cross piece between the rear axles on each side with a couple of 3" Box beams. That way it was pushing down low from the rear axles. Had the blade rolled at a machine shop. Ran a front pump directly off the end of the front crankshaft pulley and plumbed it up. Blade was as wide as the rear wheel tread so it had quite a lot of blade to handle. I was surprised at how much snow that little 18 horse B could push but its limit was about 18" of loose snow at full blade width. The rear wheels had cast centers and one wheel weight per side. The key way in the front pulley wasn't big enough to handle the torque requirements from a hydraulic pump and the key way wallowed out after a few years of use. I really didn't need it anymore so after that I scrapped put the blade but it was fun while it lasted.

I'm pretty sure there never was a "factory" snowplow
for a B.If there was,I've never seen one,so it's probably EXTREMELY rare.So you will need to build one,or hire
someone to build one for you.As was said,B had no hydralics. So you will need to figure a lift system. An electric lift or a power steering pump can supply hydralic power.Or go 'armstrong'...

If want one you will have to build one.I have a full hydraulic loader on a Farmall B that been on it from early 60s. My was one of the last 125 bs built and it had the place on engine to put live hydraulic pump. The loader comes in handy it has loaded a lot of manureand snow over the years.
