cub rear end blade

I don't have a blade, or money to buy one. I do however have materials to build one. Just lookin for some ideas how someone built on for a cub. I do not have the fast hitch. Just draw bar and standard lift arm. Makes me no difference if drawbar is reversed or not. Seems like it can pick up a heavier blade if the drawbar is reversed. Pictures are appreciated.

Depends on what your going to use it for as to what I would say. Pushing snow I would say built a front mount blade. If grading a drive way an mid mount blade. If manure front again. Back blades work but cause many other problems

Here a small 3pt back blade adapted to a cub drawbar. Not my tractor.

A rear blade would be my last choice as well. A neighbor of mine had a homemade front blade on a Super A. He flipped the drawbar around to the front of the tractor. He removed one bolt from each end of the draw bar so that it would hinge up and down. Bolted two pieces of steel tubing to the drawbar and ran them up past the front axle and attached a blade to the other end. If you are going to use the blade to grade with, just flip the drawbar bar around to the rear of the tractor and use the blade mounted under the belly.

I used rear end blades a lot on the farm and no problems. Is it because of a smaller tractor it would tear up the tractor or just a lack of control over the blade?

This youtube film might give you some ideas to help you make a lift device for a blade, who knows might be something you can work with later.

little cub is doing a great job pulling the harrow and lifting the tool it at the end of the row.

I have a drag harrow just like the one in the video,

I have 3 pt on my tractor, but I have to use my boom pole to lift it when I am taking the harrow to my truck patches that are located down the road.

remember, a man cannot have too many tools!!!!!!!
