Just curious how Shoup's parts quality and prices were compared to elsewhere? Just looking at pickup teeth, rake teeth, and maybe some disc mower blades and bolts. New Holland and Hesston brands if that matters. Some of the dealer parts I've ordered over the last few years have been after market, even when advertised as not.

I haven't had any problems with the parts I bought from them, Tillage, Combine and hay parts ware good so I cant complain about them. To be honest there are only a hand full of companies making these parts so it boils down to price and service and Shoup seams to me to pretty good on both. Bandit

Bought a set of plow shares from them last year, someone added the wrong share by mistake. Called them, sent the right one no cost and told me to do whatever with the screw-up. Sold it.

I"ve dealt with them for about 20 years and never an issue with parts quality. Once, an issue of "almost" double billing, but they straightened that out right away. It was a case of the next customer buying almost the same amount ($4XX) and both were billed to me. Maybe had coffee break in between billings?

Never had a problem with them . Good parts and lightning fast delivery. I call in an order... and 2 days later UPS is in my driveway with the part. And thats with regular UPS ground. Great company.

Casey,
I believe that you just bought a Hesston 540 baler. I would make sure the pickup teeth for the 540 are from AGCO. A whole box of them is really not too expensive. Get a few of the teeth brackets also. You lose the whole thing once in a while if the 3/8 bolt breaks. I have a 530 and 5530, and help maintain three more. Just my experience.

I saw your pictures of the baler. It looks very nice. Hydraulic or electric threader?

They are good to work with and parts are as good as ones I have got at the dealer for less money.
Also if you order $200.00 or more it is free shipping. You do want to make sure that the parts are the same. I have got into that on Field cultivator shanks.

Yep, 540 baler. It seems to be in really good shape, other than missing some pickup teeth and some plastic twine wrapped up in the pickup. I'm getting ready to go thru the pickup and it should be ready to go. I just called the local Agco dealer and if I order 10 or more of the teeth he's 4 cents a piece cheaper on them. SO I guess that's the route I'll go. It's an electric tie baler. I just hope its as good as it appears. Somebody thought it was good enough to put new belts on it last year.

And thanks to everyone for the info on Shoup. I'll still probably use them for all of my New Holland stuff.
