Ford 706 rear bucket

This is my first ever barn find. $200 OTD and it looks like the thing was lightly used then put in storage for 30 some-odd years. I've had a craigslist search alert set up for a couple years and this was the first one that ever popped up. Talk about a rare beast! The seller even had it up on an engine hoist so I just backed my single-wheel trailer up to it, got it set and strapped, and was on the way home with a new toy.

The very next day after buying this beautiful piece of equipment I had filled potholes in my driveway, graded a hillock behind my house, and used it to haul out the hand tools and fuel can to my back 40. I think this is going to be the most used implement I've got even beating out my mowers!

Black,
they are great tools for us poor boys without front end loaders.

I have carried many a load of gravel, dirt, whatever with mine over the years.

the reversible option is nice, as I have owned two others over the years that you could only pull forward. However, when using it in the reverse position, you need to be sure and use your side to side stabilizer bars, as you can bent one of your lift arms.

nice tool, you will find many uses for it over the years.

most of my tools are red, so you know me, if its sits a while and has some rust on it, then it gets painted, I like red paint, so most of my tools are red.

note to file: if you do not have a rock rake, they are also a great tool to have a round the place. Make a fine work mate to the dirt scoop.

Dave,
Mine was blue color when my uncle bought it new.

He gave it to me, I have used it a lot, so it was faded blue and rusty as it sets out all the time. I just like red paint, so I painted mine red to match most of my other tools.
