First new piece of equipment he has ever bought. JD 348. Should last him a long time. He said 1600 bales of straw a year would make the payments. He put up 10,000 bales last year.
Thanks for yall's input on the baler question a couple of weeks ago. Especially Tx JIM

That has to be exciting.

That is the oddest looking pto shield setup I've ever seen, might be different in person but on a picture it looks like a terrible setup. The black pointed hood.

Actually, my son told me last night that it did not have the multi-lube setup on it when he looked at it. Told them he would buy it (after negotiating price) if they would put it on. They did.

For a guy like me, the thought of a brand spankin' new baler to use......whew! Makes my palms sweat like a 14 year old boy at a Sadie Hawkins dance!!! Must be a nice feeling, and knowing he can pay for it just makes it better.

Beautiful baler! That would last my lifetime and probably most of my boys life too, no more than we bale.

The 2nd baler I worked behind was a JD 24t. I never saw more perfect bales from a baler. That 348 ought to take perfect to another level.

Enjoy and post some pics this Summer.

A neighbor has one like that'n! I used it last summer while my old 326 was down. That is one heck of a fine baler. I ran it behind a 4450 and was charging through big windrows as fast as I could work up nerve to go. The baler never whimpered. It's a high capacity baler from the word go!

The black pointed shield allows the pto shaft to pivot right and left when tongue goes from transport to operate position. Looks different but it shields the pto shaft better.

i ran deere and new holland with accumulator for years .what type accumulator he got cause some of them have trouble staying up with the faster stroke units. good luck
