Couple days someone asked of the value of an IH 165 spinner plow, onland hitch.Just saw in Fastline of a one or two year old 5 bottom.Price was $31,000. A new one was also offered. It's price was not even listed! So I would immagine 40-45,000.....BTW The IH plows are now made by ArtsWay(still red). The current model is 166.

I didn't think a plow of any color would be worth anything thought the only way to farm today was with chemicals and coulters.

vs,you have never farmed flood/furrow irrigated ground. We have to moldboard plow every acre. This is a 'must'.We need a clean seedbed for the water to run.Not everybody can or does farm 'notill'

We do a lot of plowing to I imagine you would have to have it nice to flood then do you put the field on a grade or can it make it up a little variance ? Only thing I've ever flooded was garderns

We have flat to moderate hills. Since water only flows downhill,we must 'adapt' to that. Some fields are 'leveled',others we just run our rows in the downhill direction. Some fields are acctually too flat.On these, the water must be 'pushed' to flow. All ground is landplaned to get that smooth pool table finish. Here in our area, everything is 'marked' with corrugates/water furrows.Other places(mostly hay) can get by with flooding.
