breaking plow size

Can someone explain the correct way to measure a breaking plow? I been told 2 different ways and I go from 10in to 16in. What is point A to measure to point B. And pictures would be great.

Measure center of beam to center of beam or easier for me from one side of beam to the same corresponding side of the next beam. Also one can measure from landslide to rear of point.

Yhis works on most plows but not on a John Deere 44 plow As the frame size is the same for a 14-16" plow and the vertical part of the beam has a slight bend in it and to change from a 14 to a 16 you bove that piece from the back bottom to the front or 16" to 14" the other way. Others are made with simular type adjustments to convert from one size to anouther. So for any statement to be acurate we need to know the make and model of the plow. That John Deere I mentioned in large frame model would tell you that it is a 15" plow that was not made, the mediun frame would measure 13" and could be set for either 12" or 14" cut.
