? for DeltaRed

If I am remembering correctly,a 269 does not have
the 'normal' feeding system of the 68,270,271....It
has a horizontal 'sweep' that is different than the
others. Hence, "oddball".Clear as mud?

You mean like the 268,273,275,310.I guess that makes them all odd balls.OK.Question answered.

And to add I've rebuilt a couple in resent years and NEVER had a parts issue.

You'll have a good day.

Am not familiar with a 268.But the
273/276/311/315/320/78/280/281/282/283....all had a
similar 'cross feed'.But its been almost 10 years
since I worked on a 269.The others as recent as last
year.....

A 269 is a long tongue 268, 3 joint pto rather than a 2 joint. A 272 is a engine drive 268. A 275 is a much better heavier built 268. The 268, 269, 272, 275, 273, 310 all use the similar retractable feeder carrage. The 65 used something the same.....Ron
