The other day I got my wood splitter 8hp and generator 5hp out,
Poured fresh non ethanol gas in the tanks, then added
Berryman's B-12 Chemtool Fuel Treatment

Test ran them for about 20 mins

Question: I normally use STA-BIL fuel treatment or sea foam,
Why I used Chemtool I do not know.

But later I got to thinking, did I do the wrong thing, will Berryman's B-12 Chemtool Fuel Treatment run through the carburetor keep the gas fresh so the engines will start this spring.

Should I drain that gas and refill the tanks and use seafoam or sta-bil.
What would you do?????????????????,

I checked out some youtube videos on Berryman's B-12 Chemtool Fuel Treatment, per the videos the Berryman's B-12 Chemtool Fuel Treatment is much stronger than seafoam and is used as a fuel system cleaner rather than a fuel treatment.

I would run both engines until about half full to get the cleaning benefit from the Berrymans. Then, I would add Stabil, along wil enough fresh gas to fill them. Then run them about 5 minutes to get stabil through the carb, etc. Tom

My experience with Stabil has been terrible. Berrymans has always worked well for me as a cleaner. It's better than Seafoam IMO as a cleaner. I think you're better off running the tanks empty and adding fresh gas next spring. I don't believe there's anything that will keep modern fuels "fresh".

I've not found a Berryman's product that was worth bringing home. It never damaged anything, but neither did it benefit anything. All it did was remove money from my pocket.

Just my experience, Chem-12 does about as much good as pouring another 12 ounces of gas. Won't hurt it but I wouldn't count on it doing much good. Seafoam and/or Marine Stabile seems to work pretty well for me. Everything from the chainsaw to the Cub Cadet 1450 run fine in the spring after sitting all winter with E10 in the tanks. I get pretty abundant with the amounts (usually about triple the prescribed dose).

I also run Seafoam occassionaly in the summer to clean things up. The only carb issues I have are with worn out throttle shafts.

I use E10. I don't add anything to the tanks, and everything starts up in the spring. Never had any problems. If a machine sets for a year or more without running, then there might be a problem.

Thanks for your input,

I will add sea foam to the tank,

then run the engines long enough to insure the sea foam chemical is in the carbs,

Should be good till spring,

I've used it in my gas on occasion in my pickup to clean up the injectors. Seems you can''t rely on any detergent in the gas. It helps. I use the regular carb cleaner any time I do a carb rebuild.

I used Seafoam in my boat, a finicky 2 cycle and it kept it purring even though I didn't get out much and the gas sat for long periods.

I use Stabil in my stored gas for equipment around the place.

I use Power Services diesel treatment for my stored diesel and for injector hygiene. Been over 10 years since I had any kind of fuel issue on any of them and at one time 7 tractors...down to 3 now.

I've had Stabil get syrup like. I always use seafoam as my treatment. When I have gas delivered I put a gallon of seafoam in the bulk barrel.
