1240 planter

Hi guys,
I have tried every where to find the correct disc openers for my JD 1240 plate less planter. I am looking for 13.5" disc openers with a bearing bore of 3/4". I have tried all the internet main players that I can think of. No-one has that bearing size that has the right hub. JD wants $77 a piece. That is more than the planer is worth. Does anyone have any ideas where I can get them? I would just do the disk and not the hub, but it seems no one has the right one to match my hub. The disc has a 1 9/16" hole and the rivets are about 3" across from each other. I also need 2 center scrapers for the disk openers. Those I might have to make. I appreciate any and all help.

ASC (Ag Supply Co.) will have them. Number to call is in the computer. I've never had any trouble getting anything, and it's usually there in a couple of days, UPS.

Don,
I looked at their website. Everything is for a smaller stud than my planter has. Did you get the disc openers for a 1240 from them? Carlyle where are you located? I would consider selling this one. I will be done with it in about a month. New paint, all new chains, new finger pick-ups and springs, fertilizer hoppers in great shape and hopefully new disc openers. I would like to find a 30" JD 7000. I moved my 1240 into 30" rows. I wish the 7000's were that easy to move narrower.
