The original subject was "New Holland 310 baler. Anyone parting out?".

Need the needle yoke for an early NH 310 baler and the needles too. Yoke part number is 258588

I think most nh balers 68,268,273,ect,, use same needles and carriage yoke , I have one needle and the swinging u shaped carriage the needles mount to .. I am in southern ind, email is open ..

Here is a picture of the needle frame/ needle carrier/ needle holder/ needle yoke mount. Have heard so many different discriptions for that yoke. LOL
Think it is slightly bent? LOL
I am told the early NH310 needle frame was the only frame for that baler, not used on any other model.
Wonder what was so different between that and the 273 needle frame?
Arleninor, the frame and needles that you have, are they from a 310 prior to serial # 594094?
Baler will also need one hinge for it too.
Thanks for looking and the replies.

I can sell you aftermarket needles for $100.00 but I cant get the needle yoke for a 310 can get for other models though

Well, last night I took a more careful look at this baler and dug the hay out of the chamber and thrower, they tried baling 4 bales from the time that they had to have heard the first bang with 2 more bangs along the way. Found out why the plunger didn't stop on the lock, the lever on the outside of the baler where the cable attached to was stuck and did not allow the dog to drop into the chamber.
But it confuses me about how the knotter drive pin was sheared off and yet the needles were moved enough to be broken in 3 different places.
The side wall where the needle swing frame is attached is bellied and up from there, on the flat, the iron is cracked. WOW. So it will need straightening and welding. and maybe a reinforcing plate too. Just updating this post on what I found so far.
Someday it will run again with enough time and $$$ . LOL

ArleninOr, just wonderin if you had a chance at the serial number of your 310 parts baler...
Been a couple weeks and thought I would bring this thread up near the top again. Thanks
