JD/VB grain drill

I have an old mule/horse pulled converted to tractor pull Van Brunt/John Deere grain drill. I would like a manual for it but all I'm seeing is there is so many models that were made. I have no idea what model mine is or how to find out. Is any one of you knowledgeable in this area and can help?
14 single disk 7" apart. Wooden wheels. Wooden Grain and grass boxes. No fertilizer.
Inside the grain box where the plate is, that is to hold the manual (which is missing) it is written in pencil 1936. Makes me wonder if that is when it was bought by a previous owner or when the drill was made. Eitherway, manuals I see are not listed by year dates but by Letter model numbers which mean nothing to me. And of course there are not photos of the inside of the manuals, only the outter cover.
Anyone with ideas I'd appreciate.
I am unable to post a photo. If someone thinks they can help I can send them photos if needed.

I have some late 30s JD films showing factory production of steel box, steel wheeled grain drills. The wood drills would pre-date the steel models.

Hi Derek,
Glad to see you made it over.
Send me the photos and I'll post them for you.

Interesting, My dad purchased a New John deere drill whch was painted red with yellow steel wheels in 1937.He paid $150.00 for it. It was red with yellow wheels and it had wooden box but did have a grass seeder and fertilizer. It was a model F. It was alittle narrower than your drill.

Here you go.
