Vermeer Baler Part Price?

A neighbor has a set of used bail tension springs for a Vermeer 605 H baler that I want to buy. What would a fair offer be? Thanks PK.

I had one break one time. Dealer did not have one in stock, so I heated the spring red hot and made a new hook. Never broke again. I did the same thing on the other side when it broke.

You can go to vermeer and buy a twist in plug for the end of your spring. It is a kit that has all the hardware to replace the broken loop. Almost always the springs break at the top end, and this kit seems to stop that breakage.
I have broken my springs many times over the years and then heated the last part of the coil and made a new loop. I finally went to buy a set of new springs... and found out I could have bought the kits years earlier instead... but by this time my old springs were three coils short.

So I have new springs in it now.

Hopefully they will outlast me and the baler. :lol: LOL.
