Case IH seed flow II monitor problem

Monitor shows all 4 rows and hopper check fine when setting still and then goes crazy showing various rows failing when in field. Hopper sensor does not show fail when in field. Monitor + and - are hooked directly to battery with an inline fuse, wiring harness for system shows no apparent breaks or frays, and row sensor eyes have been cleaned gently with soap and water. Don't know if monitor box needs sent in for repair or where to start looking. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

most dealers can run a check on them if you take the monitor in to them some will do it for free . then you can go from there. there is a way to measure the volatge at the sensors but i cant remember what the readings are suppose to be if you take the box in the tech can give you the specs.

I've got two rows on my eight row planter that are always going off. All eight rows plant fine and I even changed the sensors so it is either a harness problem or the seed is just not passing by as fast as the sensor wants it to. Honestly, when the tractor is up to speed I can't hardly hear the monitor anyway. Guess I could get it checked though. If I have time in the Spring, maybe I will look at it again but if you get down off the tractor and there is seed in the furrow...dang the monitor and full speed ahead.
