John Deere planter value

A neighbor has a John Deere 494a 4 row planter coming up for auction in a few weeks. Always shedded and is in very good shape. I am pretty familiar with them.
Curious as to your thought about what this planter would be worth?

Depends where its located. Might be worth more in Pekin, Illinois than in Pekin, China.
It will probably bring aboot $100.00 fur scrape iron,

Around here, west Michigan, they would bring anywhere from $350.00 to 750 at auction. It's what the market will bear and how bad someone wants it.

Yep,scrap iron here too.Folks just dont use that old stuff any more.Where there are 'food ploters',$100 - $200 per row

dealer in my area listed one for $895.00 it looks to be in good shape for the pictures. i sold mine apx 20 years ago for $500.00 so if this helps.

each separate unit is a 24B

you can add many units together based on the length of your tool bar.
