Dual 325 loader

just dumb

New User
I've got a loader mounted on a 4020,works fine, but it's hooked up to the 540 pto on the bck of the tractor. Can I hook it up to the 1080 pto on the belly of the tractor? and if so where can I find a pump to fit?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Yes you can hook to the mid/front PTO.Surplus Center;Baily Hydralics;Northern are good suppliers. That pump should cost between 5-600 dollars.

A 4020 has more than enough hydraulic capacity to run that loader. I would get rid of the pto pump and reservoir, and simply run it from the tractor.

I have a 4010 with single hydraulics and a 325 dual loader. When the pto clutch burned out I converted my loader over to the internal JD hydro instead of a pto pump. I can tell you this about the JD hydro. Because they run a closed hydraulic system instead of open I had to change out my spool set since a conversion valve kit wasn't available for my old spool set. Then once I got it setup I had issues because the internal JD hydro's offer way more pressure then a pto pump. almost every hose on my loader system and all the junctions started to leak. The cylinders appear to be holding but the only way I'd advise to change over to built in JD hydro's is if you plan on installing a new 400 dollar spool valve set, and all new hoses which will burn up another 3 to 4 hundred. not to mention a good week to two weeks of evenings and weekends. The belly pump will work just fine. Just make sure it's setup for that spline, rpm and direction.

Are the 325 cylinders improved from the 320 cylinders? I had a 320 for forty years and I never did like those cylinders. If it was mine I wouldn't put the 4010's hydraulic pressure to it.
