Weight of 7-foor Cultipacker

I'm going to an auction tomorrow looking at a 7' cultipacker. Is it too heavy to haul in a 1/2 ton pick up box?

years ago I hauled this packer in the back of my old C10 1/2 ton chevy pickup.

however, I would not recommend hauling it.
was a pain to get out of the truck with my boom pole with TO-35 Ferguson tractor. guy loaded it with a backhoe, which had a very strong front loader.

can you secure a trailer to haul the packer, would be much easier.

mine is a 8ft double roller Brillion. you do not want to drop the packer or tear up your tractor lift.

Moot point; I couldn't, wouldn't buy it. At leas a third of the wheels were cracked circumference wise, a couple broken and the wood tongue need to be replaced. Didn't look like $150.00 to me.

Set it cross ways in a 16' tandem trailer which a lot of us have. Grab onto one end of it and pull it out till the other end is near the end of the trailer. Change ends with you lift mechanism, lift the end on the trailer up and drive the trailer out from under it.

I'd say around 1500. I had a 6', 10" diam. single roll, not a cultipactor but a steel pipe, frame, not as heavy as yours, and was full of water. As I recall it weighed around 550.
