Monitor on Vermeer 605K

Monitor on baler would not turn on Sunday, checked all fuses and they were OK. Open panel and was getting power inside, but could never get the power button on to turn on. It worked last weekend and do not have a clue to what happened to it between last weekend and this weekend. I have to have monitor to tie bales as it is an electrical tie system

Got a shock when went to get a new one $1200. It is suppose to be in Wednesday.
Did not have much time to look around, but $1200 seemed high for a monitor

Is there something like a toggle switch you could use just to operate the tie system? I had hay down and it got a shower on it Monday morning and if I had a cheap backup system I could have finished then. I know the monitor does allot more than tie, but in a jam I could went ahead and finished before rain got here.
Thanks

I don't know if it'll help you or not,but I made a plug and wire for my Gehl so I can run the twine arm off the spout turn toggle on the chopper control. I've had to plug it in and use it a time or two. Trouble is,you need a switch that changes the ground from positive to negative and back again I think. There are just two wires and I think that's all that reverses it is when you reverse polarity.

I had to replace mine on my 505SI a couple years ago ( mishap with the pressure washer), I had to buy another harness to hook in to my old one to get the right connectors, price was like you stated, I sent mine to Ag but it was returned they could not fix it and cost me $60 freight to boot lol I really like the new unit much better than the original, price stung a bit but to me well worth it, check on the harness or you may be waiting another few days
