Saw a Letz mill I had never saw before.

This one was on a skid. It had a table like a ensilage chopper going into a probable grinder, then out a wind blower to a spout that ended up with a funnel like a hammermill. It had something like Feed mixer on the side of the table. Anyone ever see one such?

Had one in the drive way of the corn crib, probably not the same brand, was to young to remember it that well. The feed table had a centrifugal clutch and would stop if the mill pulled down to much on the one we had, belt driven. The tractors got bigger and it got in the way.

Sounds like a roughage mill. Throw a shock of cured corn stalks, leaves, ears and all on the feed table and it comes out the other end as feed.

Got a old belt driven Letz like that. Throw in a bundle of corn and it will cut the stalks like silage and grind the kernels of corn with the burr mill part of the mill and put it into a spout to a bagger. If I remember I'll get a picture. Also chops hay and blows into the haymow. Never any corn in the silage, does a good job of sorting.

I saw one today myself. Couldn't half believe it. Fella had it sitting in the garden in front of his house. Hopper full of dirt. Flowers growing out the top.
