Ford 515 help

Does anyone know the size of the socket/box wrench needed to remove the knife? I have a crescent wrench that can lock on the bolt head but there's not enough room to turn it at all. I've also searched all over the net but can't find it documented anywhere. Couple that with the fact that the manual says "use the special wrench". The [i:0d503db8fa]special[/i:0d503db8fa] one, not a normal one, because normal tools aren't as cool apparently.

Don't tell me you got no measure tape or calipers to size that nut??.
Is that nut rounder the only tool in your toolbox??

Just get out your wrench set and try each one till
you find the right size.If a crescent is all you
own, then go to the nearest Harbor Frieght and buy
some tools. BTW,My NewHolland takes a 3/4 and 13/16
to pull the sickle.

Considering the only standard item I have is this tractor and implements I was hoping to find someone who knew it off hand. The nut measured out to 34.14mm. The largest socket I own is unfortunately a 30mm.

Edit; I'm also 50mi from the nearest store that could carry what I need so that further reinforced my search for an easy answer.

Well since 34.14 / 25.4 = 1.344...

I would assume you need a 1 3/8" wrench to get your bolt/nut off.

I'd order an el cheapo set of standard wrenches if you plan on working on old iron.

You'll become fluent if you've got old iron. :D Just remember with SAE everything is halves of halves. But I also understand fractional math isn't something that everyone likes to drudge back up. But really, SAE is more logical in it's fractions than metric so it's easy once you get a handle on it.
