Running gear

I have a running gear that I am making a combine header trailer out of, and here is my problem. I would like to replace the tires and wheels and I am not finding any wheels to fit it. From center of lug to center of the lug next to it is three inches. The hole center is four inches. Nothing that I am finding on line has a three inch five hole pattern. Am I measuring this wrong? Do I need to measure from the outside of the lug instead of the center?

On a 5 bolt, you mesure form the outside of one, to the center of the second next bolt in the circle. More than likely, you'll have a 5 x 5.5" bolt pattern. Most common implement rim around, and the standard for the last few decades.

Rims are described as number of bolt holes over diameter of the bolt holed circle. IE Ford PU for years, before 97, 5 on 5,5 5 holes on a 5.5 diameter circle. Measure from center of one bolt hole to center of rim (hole) and double.
You can buy plastic gauges at parts stores to droop in rim and measure. Buy a 5x5.5 gauge and head to the salvage yard. Get a set of aluminum ford rims?

Trouble with that is the Ford rims have a smaller pilot hole than any running gear I've seen with that bolt pattern. You either have to cut them out or find another way to make them fit 1/2 assed.
