john deere 290 corn planter

I have a john Deere 290 corn planter this is all new to me. And in our neck of the woods these are few and far between.Where if any where does one try and get parts. tried a jd dealer close to work and he said no parts to be had.
I know people restore them so where is a good place for parts.

Some parts are the same up into the 7000 series. So there has to be some still avaible. I think he just does not want to bother. Some I am sure are no longer avaible but usually not that many go bad that cannot be repaired unless it has been robed of parts.
