How much HP to run a Huber 32-54 Thresher?

I have a chance to get the threshing machine and a 1936 John Deere D and a 1936 McCormick-Deering W30 if they will run the thresher. This is just for show use not on the farm.

It just depends on how fast you feed it. Had my Hart-Parr 18-27 on a 22X36 Oliver and it ran it fine. Probably around 45 HP to run it at a good clip.

I haven't found enough information on the 32-54 to tell what they used to run it with. If I need a bigger tractor I probably will look for a smaller threshing machine.

You do not have to feed fast so basicly running empth will not take much power so eithershould do it. A few years ago at local show a friend put his John Deere LA tractor on the club machine, smaller machine and it ran it OK and you know the LA is only a 1 plow tractor.
