IH mounted picker value

I am still finding things in the tree grove to haul in for scrap. I found a 2 row mounted corn picker for a IH M tractor. I was wondering if any collector would like something like this to restore or for parts. What would on of these be worth for parts? Scrap price?

If it is rough in appearance then scrap. Pickers are maddening when trying to set a value. It is so dependent on somebody being in need at the time. If you do not mind holding it for a while and it is not truly junk then advertise it for 500 dollars and be prepared to sit on it for a while (I know I just said that). The last Deere 237 I looked at the owner had it priced at 900 dollars and it had set outside in the dirt for a while. It was dented and had spots that had serious rust with the paint poor overall. It also was not complete. I passed and I don't know if they ever sold it.

That's the kind of thing you will either sell quick or sit on for a while. When a guy decides he wants one he will go long on it, but you have to wait for that guy to come along. I would advertise it and wait. Bound to bring more than scrap.

If it wasn't parked inside a shed all its life, it may be difficult to sell for much more than scrap price.
