seeder for sunflowers

going to try some sunflowers next year dose anyone know what kind of seeder or planter they use for them thanks cdv

We always just planted them with a 7000 JD planter using the corn finger meters.. just changed population.

I can plant them with the IH 800 planter. Don"t know if there is any money in them.

Neighbor planted some last year useing a JD #70 (plate)planter.My book references a sunflower plate.

I planted a 6 test acres with my JD 290 planter, had to but plates and a adaptor plate but then it worked fine I cultivated them once or twice as well

I use a 1950's era C251 planter with a "medium corn" plate. Plant on 36" rows at about 8" spacing.

In answer to your question most any planter that will plant corn will plant sunflowers.
