Vicon rake woes

I got a Vicon HKX 620 as part of a trade, and after replacing a few teeth, it works pretty good. That is except for what looks like a shock absorber inside the spring. It seems to be seized up and won't let the rake float. Does anybody know what this part is, where I can find a replacement, or if it can be repaired?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Well, I guess I know now why no one has answered. That model rake doesn't have the part I described. Apparently someone down the line has done some shade tree engineering on the thing. I found the correct parts locally to put it back the way it was supposed to be.

I also noticed that the thing had two left hand and two right hand finger wheels. Two of which were turned around backwards so they would work the right way. I had to disassemble the ones turned backward and turn the teeth the right way. Now the only thing missing is the two limiting chains, but I don't think those are absolutely necessary.
