Looking over the needles on my NH68, one is unscathed, the other apparently has been broken and welded.
I've got a third needle that came with the baler and it is welded too.
Thinking about buying another needle so I've got 2 spares should something let go - and I can 99% guarantee it will happen when the dealer is closed - LOL!
A few needle choice questions.
New Holland dealer's price is around $164 to $180 depending on which dealer I talk with.
Tisco/aftermarket type needles are around $100ish.
Used welded needles?
Are the aftermarket needles worth looking at, are they the same quality, etc as New Holland? Anyone used them?
Used welded needles. Anyone comfortable using these repaired needles? I'm wondering how the welded cast iron holds up? What's the good, bad and ugly regarding welded needles - should I be concerned?
Don't really want to pay New Holland's price for new needles, but will if that is the route I should take.
Thanks!
Bill
