Plow Coulter Manufacturer

I"m taking apart some old plows that I have and have taken apart a coulter. There are casting numbers on these cast iron parts, but no distinguishing maker mark other than a stamped shield with a capital M inside it on the parts. Any idea who made these?

Need more information. Is it orignal equipment or aftermarket, if after market does it have 1 single concave disk blade? If it does is there a spring on it? 2 flat blades setting at an angle to each other? Need a picture. There were at least 3 after market manufactures. That mark does not tell me anything but a good description could.

Leroy,

I do have pictures but am not sure how best to attach them to this posting, suggestions? Also, I don't really know if it is aftermarket or not. One single coulter blade, three holes/bolts hold it to the coulter bearing. Casting number on bearing is 2P137, could be an I instead of a 1. Casting number on yoke that holds bearing is D218, could be a B instead of 8. No springs, it may be quite an old coulter, in fact the apparent way to lubricate the coulter bearing is by dripping oil/grease into a hole on bearing, no threads for a grease fitting.
Have tried many things on google, but no luck yet.

Sounds like just a standard flat blade orignal.Aftermarket single blade that I know of the blades were shaped like a disk blade, fact is the yettern the model without a spring did in fact use a standard 16" disk blade, A version that had a spring that could be bumped out of place would by that spring swing back to normal but that blade was shaped like a standard disk blade but was held on with 3 bolts or rivets, forget for sure and was sold bt TSC and possibly others. Then the Lantz had 2 single blades with one setting straight with furrow that acted same as landside and the second on angle that acted like the moldboard. For that hole to lubricate yours is it sized for a 5/16" drive in grease fitting and they were a smooth no threads hole?
