Does anyone have some pictures of implements for the A? I recently purchased a 46 A without any implements and if I ever come across any I'd like to know what I'm looking for. Sorry about the newbie questions but this is my first tractor. I know there would have been better choices but I wanted 1940s and simple and for the price I had to get it. Thanks
 
Don't have pictures but cultivators, plow and mowing machine were probably most common. They are getting harder to find thanks to scrappers. You will need the levers for the cultivators and plow and a way to lift them. A tractors could be equipped with an exhaust lift but you need the cylinder and working valve on the exhaust. I'm guessing they had a manual lift as well although I haven't seen one.
 
John Deere made an A in the same year. So you need to say Farmall Or anybody that might have anything probably would think Deere as there was a hundred? of them made for every Farmall A. And in these parts the Farmall A was never sold. It was always a 2 row tractor like the B-BN or C and never a single row like the A.
 
Manual implement availability for your A is probably a regional
thing. Seems to be a lot of that stuff in the East. A lot of small
farms in the hills. Typically tobacco farms.

My experience is trying to find 2 point fast hitch implements
specifically for a Super C. I'm in Houston Tx and SC's are
common. Not so much for the fast hitch implements. I started
spending a lot of time on the internet. I bought C251 planters
in Pennsylvania and Kentucky. I had to buy 3 to make 2. I
bought a C20 plow out of Indiana. A disc out of Missouri. Cycle
mower & platform carrier out of Kansas.

Point is if you really want it be prepared to spend some money
on travel and or freight. I also found that I couldn't be picky.
Trying to find what I wanted restored or even working is tough.
I have bought multiple implements to get enough parts to
make 1 that works.
