i was given this little 2 bottom plow and i would like to get it useable but i cant figure out what it is. it a 14 inch plow but it looks smaller i thought it was a 12 till i measured it. i was told possibly a Cockshutt or Massey Harris plow but some of the remaining paint kind of looks like a case. the weird part is that the lift axle wraps around the outside of the tire I'm stumped lol any help would be appreciated

not sure if pics are loading right :?:

Can't see the shares enough to tell if blacksmith type or throwaway type but look like the latter. If it is then the orignal bottoms would have been replaced to get an easier to get share. The smooth beams would indicate CoOp but I do not know if they used an axle like that. Oliver had the smooth beams but never used a hitch like that as far as I know. But that could have been fabrecated over from a different plow as well. Pull a share and look for numbers on the back and post.

Although its NOT a JD, I know that JD once had an axle like that. It was on a 3 bottom with the trip wheel, if I remember right, being solid, pressed steel with a overhang axle. I hadn't seen it since 60

David Bradley did not have that type of axle, thers were normal style. I also had one and ysed for years.

the moldboards are marked CX14 and the points have a S with 14DE under it i cant get it apart right now to look for more numbers as its kind of a rust bucket at the moment and im out of torch fuel lol

thats what i thought but i cant find any info on it and there is no eagle and globe anywhere that i have found to date
